#1 Vista de Florida (Spanish for Florida View) is a short dog-leg par 4.  It's named for the gorgeous view of the Floridas (pronounced floor-ee-da) Florida means flower and while these mountain appear to be rugged rock, when weather conditions are just right, they are covered with wild yellow and white poppies.  A placed drive to the corner of the fairway leaves an easy 65 to 90 yard shot to a small two tier green.

#2 Loco Hombre (Crazy Man) is the hardest hole on the course. The par 3 is 143 yards from Mild and 226 from Extra Hot.  With out of bounds down the left the large green seems small and distant. It is protected by a front left bunker and mounds on the right.  Hope you enjoy a challenge, because this will test your skills.  If not, well it has driven many a man crazy.

#3 Via la Vuelo (With the Flight) is a straight par 5.  Out of bounds to the left marks the airport (private craft, no commercial flights).  The visible air hangers are what remains of the WWII training base.  With one fairway bunker and one next to the green, this hole is relatively wide open.  A tight undulating green completes this enjoyable par 5.

#4 Siesta de Perro (Napping of the Dog) is a refreshingly. simple golf hole. A par 4 with no hazards, out of bounds, or bunkers, this hole will allow the golfer to play any shot desired.  An easy green allows for the possibility of making a putt from anywhere. Don't take this hole too lightly, it seems like a sleeping dog, but, for some reason, its handicap rates it as the seventh hardest.

#5 Agua Fria (Cold Water) is an enjoyable par 3 with water to the left which protects the left side of this diverse green.  While the hole plays only(Mild) to 180 (Extra Hot) yards long, the pin placement on this hole dras
changes the difficulty.  Many birdies and doubles are to be found at Aqua Fria

#6 Junta la Loma (By the Mound) is a straight par 4.  A wide open fairway with no dangers makes it time to hit the big stick.  The mounds down the left side of the fairway are very playable.  While there are rumors that the mounds are burial grounds of the buffalo solders kill by the Apache Indians, we believe this is just a myth.  The green is small and protected by a bunker and an out of bounds at the back right.  A great single level green allows for your putter make up for a so-so approach.

#7 Alrededor del Lago (Around the Lake) is an exciting par 5. A very good drive will allow those with the gumption to attack this green in two.  However, hit it short and you will find water.  Most golfers go around the lake and play short and you will find water.  Most golfers go around the lake and play good third shot to this green.  One of the easiest holes on the course allows for lots of good scores.  Enjoy them because you are getting ready to enter Escina de Los Perdidos (Corner of the Lost), three long challenging golf holes.

#8 Muerta via Distancia (Death by Distance) is a very long par 4.  Playing 4 Extra Hot, this hard to hit small green is difficult to reach in two.  With a green side bunker to the right, pine trees to the front left, and mounding behind, this hole present the golfer with the opportunity to show his golfing skills.  Relax, this hole only plays 284 from the Mild tee thereby giving individual golfer the choice of difficulty.

#9 Dos Opciones (Two Options), a par 4 which is easily reached in regulation has a large protected green.  Rio Mimbres Estates (a golf course subdivision) lines the right hand side of the entire fairway.  A fairway split by tree allows for a "short cut" which leaves the green protected by a bunker and large cottonwood tree.  The other side of the split is protected by a fairway bunker and leaves a longer but more wide open shot to the green.

Time for a refresher.  Grab a cold drink then set forth to enjoy the back side You are two-thirds of the way though Escina de los Perdidos (corner of the lost) and half way though a great day of golf
